1. Favorite spot on this tour, so far?
I'm going to go with Colorado, because Glenwood Springs is there. We just happened to be driving past whilst it was snowing, and the chance to go swimming outdoors in the red hot natural spring whilst it was snowing, with the Rocky Mountains in the background, was too good to miss.
2. Best time of the day for you to write a new song, and why?
Usually the middle of the day, because I can sing my head off and everyone else is at work. The old lady in the flat above me likes to bang her broom on my ceiling if I'm making too much noise.
3. Best cover song you have ever played?
I supported US band Train in London last year and I thought I'd throw in Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls because I'd been listening to it that day. I didn't think there would be too many people there at that point because normally the crowd is just arriving as the support act is playing. I totally underestimated how many people would be there. It was packed, maybe a thousand people, and I told everyone I might need their help because I didn't know the song all that well. The whole crowd then sang the whole song along with me word for word. It was amazing. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end for about a week afterwards.
